CLEVELAND!

The end of the semester brings wonderful things! Such as opportunities for me to travel to Cleveland and Omaha to see my nieces and nephews! How lucky am I to have the chance to spend a few days with some of my favorite people? The first stop was Cleveland to see Justin and Angela. Here are a few pictures to illustrate the adventures we had.

Wednesday morning I was woken up at 7 am (5 am Utah time) to Anela and Wyatt standing by my bedside whispering, "whitney." Haha it was so cute! I woke up immediately and gave them big hugs and talked and played with them before we had to walk Anela to school. This is the picture of Anela right before we sent her to class.
Cleveland is full of these old style yet beautiful homes!

pretty cute huh? I would love to live in a neighborhood that Justin and Angela live in. All of the streets are lined with fully grown trees. Its incredible.

With Anela at school, we decided to go to the Johnson Farm.

From L to R, Wyatt, me, Angela, and Drostan. This was taken at the Westside Market. Its one of those markets that sells fruit, vegetables, and pretty much this huge variety of foods. I went with $40 in my pocket and left with $5... we had a blast.

Anela is 6 years old.. and she's a beauty!

Anela and Wyatt wanted to jump every minute of the day. This is a quick picture taken while on the trampoline. I introduced them to a new game the first day I got there. So the rest of the stay they would always ask, "Whitney, lets play 1-2-3!!" Ha, we spent a good chunk of our time on that tramp.

Obviously this picture is blurry because Wyatt can't hold still when on the trampoline. I had a blast in Cleveland! Can't wait to go back.

iphone trouble

What do you do when you accidentally delete EVERYTHING on your iphone?
This is really really bad. But at the same time I kind of like not having any contacts in my phone!
Is it really pathetic that the only number I have memorized is my parent's cell phones?
Let me tell you the story of how this happened... late last night I decided I wanted to download the Invictus motion picture album (great music), so I do. And then I decide I'd love to have this music on my iphone. Well it just so happens that I hook up my phone to my computer and it asks if this is a new iphone or if it's "Whitney." Duh it's Whitney so I click on the button saying it'll sync or whatever. Bad idea. I definitely should have read that more carefully. I kind of forgot that was my ipod "Whitney." I disconnect it after I realize my mistake and yup, my iphone is now the replica of my ipod. No contacts, no messages, no pictures. All is lost.

Christmas 2011

This past Christmas holiday has been wonderful! All of my siblings came to town and we had all 15 of us under one roof! (5 nieces and nephews), the family is slowly growing.
Baker Family party on Dec. 23rd. A picture of all the grandchildren (those of us in town at least).

Grandma Baker and I. (She is a remarkable lady)!

My niece Bella  as the Angel

What's Christmas without a nativity scene! Pretty cute huh.
Haha, like the matching pjs?

justin and his family came all the way from Cleveland.

Christmas was definitely a success. And I have to admit that I LOVE that Christmas was on Sunday this year, it made the day even more special and it kept everyones focus on the real reason for the season.

Thank goodness for nice people

One of my worst fears is getting a flat tire. OR getting a flat tire while driving by myself on the freeway. You guessed it! This happened to me YESTERDAY! Driving back to Idaho Falls from Provo I suddenly had my tire practically blow out on me; I pulled to the side as soon as I could and immediately called my dad (haha). Get this--I was so close to being home! I was almost to Blackfoot. But as soon as I had gotten a hold of one of my parents a nice man had pulled off in front of me and got out of his car to help me. What a relief! Thank goodness the world is populated with kind people.

To set one thing straight, I could have changed the tire by myself but it would have taken about an hour and I would have struggled. Yes I admit that I need men to do the dirty work. But hey, I really appreciate them for it!

Well there ya go! Proves my point that there's never a dull moment in Whitney Baker's life. And I like it that way.

I was recently introduced to Pinterest. I love it.
I came across this quote... perfect right?!
This is a good reminder for myself in that I need to enjoy every second of every day rather than
wishing the time away.
